LIBRA HOTTIES HEAT PATCHES

I think that video explains what this post is about better than I ever could.

Some of us get cramps, some of us get really bad cramps, some of us get excruciating cramps that make you contemplate why you're even alive (this would be me) and some of us don't get them at all (I kind of hate you).

Anyway so the other day, I had a 9am presentation to do. I had spent the two previous days completely bed ridden clutching onto my wheat bag and I thought by the third day, I would be fine, but as expected, they started to creep up, it was getting unbearable and it was coming to my turn to present.

It was an impulse buy (Around $5 for 2pk) but I am so thankful I thought to put one of these Libra Hotties Heat Patches in my bag "just in case". It was really simple to use. Just tear open the foil packet, remove the paper backing and stick it to your stomach.

I know this thing looks a bit grose, kind of looks like a pad but it's not dirty I swear! This paper pouch contains iron, vermiculite (is it the same stuff they use on ceilings?), activated carbon, salt and water. When exposed to air, the reaction generates heat that claims to last 5-8 hours.

This actually works! It warmed up in 5 minutes and mine stayed warm for 12 hours! I took it off after 8 hours but kept it just to see how long it would last. It's not just a mild warm either, it gets quite hot but no where near hot enough to burn you.

It's just as effective as any heat pack I've tried but it's portable, odourless and discreet. If you suffer from cramping, these are a real lifesaver!

What do you do to tackle cramps? Or do you just curl up in a ball like me?

REVIEW MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY 24HR WATERPROOF POWDER

Waterpoof powder that stays flawless even after a dip? I call bullshit...but curiosity got the better of me since Priceline was selling Maybelline at 50% off and I had a small voucher so I paid less than $5 for this - WIN!
I love the Superstay foundation, not a fan of the concealer so I wasn't sure what to expect of this powder. It claims to resist heat, humidity, shine, oil and sweat.

Let's quickly get through the basics: Comes in a cheap looking but slim white mirrored compact with a questionably thin sponge. I never used sponges for powder, I just like the feel of them :) You get the standard 9g of product for $18.95.

The powder is very finely milled giving it a very soft and creamy feel. The coverage is not as high as I expected, just a light-medium coverage if you use a powder brush. You could get higher coverage with the sponge.

I find this photo so ugly but it's just to show how the powder looks freshly applied. One the left is the powder on its own and on the right is the powder over Mehron HD in Eurasia Fair. See how the left (my right) looks a bit more pink?

I got the darkest shade I could find which was 030 Sand. It may look yellow toned in the photos but it's more neutral leaning to pink in my opinion. It doesn't show if I'm wearing the correct foundation shade underneath but does make my skin look slightly pink if I wear it on its own.

So you're probably asking, "Can I wear this to my next bikini shoot?" Sure! you wouldn't be wearing much else anyway. I don't consider this waterproof, it's not more water resistant than any other face powder I've tried. I applied this all over my face, wet one half and left the other dry. I took a cotton pad with makeup remover and swiped it down the both sides. There was less makeup on the 'wet' side which means so of it had come off in the gentle splashing.

Same shirt, different day - today infact. After a stuffy hot day at work, I think the powder has done a pretty good job :)

Even though it's not waterproof and doesn't match my skin, I do still like this! I had a really stuffy hot day at work today because my Westfield air conditioning sucks. Even after work, my skin still looked pretty flawless and the powder had transformed from a satin matte to dewy finish. Easily fixed with blotting paper of course but it hadn't slipped and move across my face which deserves a thumbs up.

Cheap packaging, poor colour selection and naughty advertising aside, it's still a fantastic face powder in my opinion (but I would only ever repurchase it on an awesome sale).

Have you ever found a truly waterpoof powder? Who wears face makeup when swimming?

NEW MAKEUP GOODIES - MAYBELLINE AND THAILAND

Yeah, I hauled some Thailand? It's been a very long time since I posted more than once a day. I'm just procrastinating big time and I can't contain my excitement!

Yesterday I went into Priceline to try scavenge what was left of the Maybelline stand, I knew there wasn't going to be much but I'm just so glad to have got what I did. I picked up the Superstay 24hr Powder and lucky I got the last one. I just did a review on this product which you can read here. I also repurchased the Instant Age Rewind concealer which is the best undereye concealer I've ever used. I'm pretty sure I had the shade Medium...I also hope I don't get sick of it any time soon because this stuff lasted ages!

My parents got back from Thailand today which is a bittersweet moment. Bitter because I'm going to miss the peace, quiet and freedom - sweet because I can start bumming lifts to the station in the morning...also I love my parents, love them so much I just sat through one of the worst slideshows of their holiday I've ever seen, it was bad in a funny and cute way. I really wish I got to go, I missed my nephews wedding because I'm in complete lockdown this semester.

ANYWAY, I initially only asked them to bring me some more of my favourite pens and a Nivea lip balm that I love but eventually, I added a few more Thailand/Asian exclusives to the list.

I asked them to get me the Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick in 'the darkest shade you can find'. I loved the L'oreal Studio Secrets one I had and used up and this looks like it could be similar to the new Fit Me stick they have over in the US.

I got another of the Hypersharp eyeliners which are almost exactly the same as the Master Precise ones but my Hypersharp one lasted so much longer than Master Precise.

I'M SO KEEN FOR THESE MAYBELLINE PEN GEL EYELINERS. My tried out my friends one and it did not budge. This could be the best eyeliner ever? I will try these out right away!

Also got another of the Nivea Lovely Lips in Pink Smoothie. BEST-LIP BALM-EV-ER...It smells so good, it's moisturising and leaves the prettiest pink sheen on the lips...should have got 20 of them...

If I was there, I would've have repurchased so many other things but I didn't want to give my parents too much responsibility and they offered to get these for me so it would have been super rude to ask for more.

Woops...yeah I actually did get more...I'm a greedy daughter...

I only asked for one of these but oh well. These are the Neutrogena Blackhead Treatments. My blackheads are stubborn as a bull. I'll try anything!

The life of a sea otter is the life for me

So I'm waiting to upload a video for editing and thought I would use this time to fill out the Liebster award Linzi tagged me for. Linzi, you're Welsh? That is so cool!!!

What's your favourite thing about being a blogger?
I hate writing and I'm a terrible writer but I love writing about makeup. I feel lame talking about it to my friends because most of them don't care about it at all so it's nice to chat amongst the beauty community :)

If you only had one subject to blog about what would it be? (e.g. skincare, cosmetics, fashion, books, music)
Cosmetics for sure! They're the most interesting and can be soooo pretty with pretty colours and sparkles and scents and everything fun!

What's your favourite scary movie?
None ever. I have "jokingly" threatened to unfriend people or never speak to my boyfriend again if they forced me to watch a scary movie. I don't see the fun in that. It's 2 hours of shitting your pants followed by months of psychological torture. I do my own head in.

If you could only wear one lip product for the rest of your life what would it be?
Practically speaking, a nice tinted lip balm. If I didn't care about the maintenance, Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 10.

What is the book you love so much you can re-read it on a regular basis?
I'm sorry I don't like books :( I did read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory countless times when I was 8. The Saggy Baggy Elephant was another favourite of mine. Good moral to the story in that book and nice illustations :P

When you feel the need to indulge yourself what do you buy? (e.g perfume, chocolate, clothes, cosmetics)
MAAAAAAKEUUUP

Who is your favourite celebrity at the moment?
Steve Carell!!! Funniest man alive <3

What make up would you choose to wear on a hot date?
Never been on one and don't think I ever will haha. I'm a very casual person who dates very casual guys. Aside from the basic neutral smokey eye, if I really wanted to impress, I would wear red lipstick.

What's your favourite movie moment?
As in a scene from a movie? Hard to pick one but I'll say the scene in Despicable Me where the minions make Gru give them goodnight kisses. Cuteness overload!

What's your most embarrassing moment?
Too many, far too many...probably one of my violent nosebleeds. I was walking to the station one morning and it just came out like a tap. Got all down my sleeve and on my new bag, had to ask a rough looking Railcorp guy for tissues and lucky he had kept a little pack of Kleenex tissues in his backpack. A council worker then came up to me and said 'Did he hit you?'

I'm not sure if there were rules to this so I'm just going this very informal because I'd love to learn more about some of my favourite bloggers!

Also I would love to learn more about my readers so please comment your answers down below if you would like <3

I'm going to tag 5 bloggers with 5 questions so you can call it '5 Facts about me' or something way more creative :)

Questions:
  1. What do you do outside blogging? Work, study, chase pigeons?
  2. Do you have any special talents like singing or burping the alphabet?
  3. If you could be any animal, what would you be?
  4. If you could only eat 3 things for the rest of your life, what would they be?
  5. Do you feel like you don't have enough, have enough or have wayyyy too much makeup?

How hot is Sydney today? I'm so happy summer is coming but it's getting uncomfortably hot in my room...

I really didn't know what to call this look. I guess it reminds me of Princess Jasmine from Aladdin but then that name reminds me of Jasmine for Sweetaholic Beauty haha. I just spontaneously decided I wanted to have teal and black eyes today and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I used the Chi Chi Oasis Palette to create this look :)

NEUTROGENA NATURALS RANGE

Hi!

Today I'm going to talk about the latest line from Neutrogena, their Neutrogena Naturals line. It has been in stores for a few months now and some of you may have already gone ahead and bought some for yourself. For those of you not sure if it's worth your hard earned $$$, here are my thoughts on the products:

Purifying Facial Cleanser: I expected this to be like Cetaphil but it is not at all. It claims gently remove impurities and while it is relatively gentle to most gel cleansers, it is still a gel cleanser that strips my skin of moisture. My skin is drier coming out of Winter so I would not suggest this for dry skin. I do think it would be great for oily or combination skin though because it isn't as harsh as say Garnier Clean Detox but still leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed. It doesn't remove makeup effectively but that's alright because then we have the...

Facial Cleansing + Makeup Remover: This I like! It really does remove most my makeup (I wear some pretty heavy duty eyeliner) and isn't too harsh on my drier skin either. There's not much more to it, I think this is a great cleanser for all skin types. It lathers nicely, rinses clean and all but my eyeliner is gone!

Purifying Pore Scrub: Mmm a bit disappointed in this one. I really love to feel scrubs working on my face and this just felt like rubbing a slightly gritty gel onto my skin. I don't feel like my facial skin is much smoother or refined after use so I am using it as a body scrub in conjunction with my Dermalogica Buffing cloth  - works pretty amaze with the buffing cloth.

Face and Body Bar: Is it just me or does this just seem like they rebranded the hypoallergenic bar they used to sell. I'm not really complaining because it still works the same but they've increased the price another $2. I used to think these would be grose or unhygienic but I try not to think about it, I have enough thoughts doing my head in - it's self cleansing, it must be fine right?

Anyway, this removes makeup really well too and leaves your face and body feeling squeaky clean. That also means it's a bit on the drying side so make sure to moisturise right after! You'll get so many uses out of it for your face, for sure a bargain cleanser!

Lip Balm: Very excited they have a lip balm in the range. Neutrogena's first lip balm? A very basic, simple but effective lip balm so I love it. I honestly am not a fan of the Maybelline Baby Lips. They don't smell good to me so it puts me off using them. This has a very faint of the oils and shea butter ingredients but I'm sure nothing truly offensive to anyone :)

TOO FACED POOLSIDE PRIMPING COLLECTION

Zdravo!

Just felt like bringing a little culture to my blog. Koliko je sati? I'll tell you what time it is, time for a review of something awesome I bought recently!

I showed this off already in my last haul video but here it is again with pictures and my thoughts on the products (spoiler alert, I love them all!)

The Too Faced Poolside Primping Kit is/was a summer makeup collection consisting of products that I guess would be ideal to be worn, you guessed it, by a pool. Well sort of...I wouldn't neccessarily go swimming in this but it is definitely a summer collection.

This kit contains 4 FULL SIZED products: Sun Bunny Bronzer, Glamour Gloss in Peek-a-boo, Lashgasm Mascara and Perfect Lips Lipliner in Perfect Nude. It also comes with a mini 5g sample of the Primed and Poreless Bronze Tint face primer and a poolside/beach friendly makeup bag that will stop your beloved beauty products from getting wet.

Better yet, this kit is insanely good value in my opinion considering the individual value of each product - Sun Bunny will set you back between $40-$50 alone and I managed to get this for just under $40 from ASOS. It's sold out now but it's still on Beautybay with free shipping for only $54.20 (at this moment).

So is it worth the money? I don't think that's a real question, I'm sure every beauty buff would agree that you'd be silly not to.

Sun Bunny Bronzer 9g: I'm sure some you saw in a recent post that I was on the hunt for a new bronzer. Now I know I said I wanted a matte one but I couldn't pass this up and I have no regrets. This bronzer has two different coloured halves and mixed together, creates the perfect glowing bronze shade without being too orange. It may come off orange on pale or very pink toned complexions. The shimmer in it is so fun it gives a really pretty radiant finish that doesn't look like cheap chunky glitter.

Another reason to love that it's two colours is I can use the lighter side as my winter bronzer and the right as my summer one. Also, for a more oompa-loompa proof application, I use the lighter shade first and then add just a touch of the darker shade where I want to deepen it. This gives me the most natural look and it is easier to blend out :)

Lashgasm Mascara: Cheeky name, love it! I haven't had one of these plastic bristle brush mascaras in ages and I've forgotten why I disliked them so much because this mascara is amazing! As amazing as a mascara can get on my lashes, I can only imagine how could it would look on someone with full, long lashes.

From day 1, it gives clean volume and seperates the eyelashes so nicely. My eyelashes were left feeling soft, not brittle and it does give some good lift. Only downside is, if you go too overboard with it, the ends can start to drop a bit making it look like you have kinks at the end of your eyelashes. You know what I'm talking about right? All in all, still a great mascara and I may actually considering repurchasing it as my first high end mascara purchase. Love the tube too!

Glamour Gloss in Peek a Boo: Not usually the shade I would reach for but it is a nicer, more sophisticated colour for the casual as sneaker wearing girl that I am. It's a very muted dusty pink with fine gold shimmer in it. It looks great on the lips and it's a volumising gloss so makes your lips feel all cool and tingly, FUN :D Again the packaging is something special, not really my taste but I can still appreciate the rose gold handle and crystal detailing.

Perfect Lips Perfect Nude Lip Liner: Again, not a colour I would go for but I tried it out today and it's actually a very good example of a 'my lips but better' product. I don't have any lipsticks at the moment to pair this with but might go on the hunt for one soon.

The product is very creamy and glides onto your lips so easily. I'd love to have this lip liner in red and hot pink if it comes in those shades.

Primed and Poreless Bronze Tint: This stuff looks and feels a bit like a whipped mousse. Almost identical texture to the L'oreal Studio Secrets Primer/Base Magique. It leaves a very smooth and indeed poreless texture to the skin. I love the feel of these primers but I just can't seem to make them work with any of my foundations. My foundations usually look better without primer - which I think is a good and bad thing.

It can look quite intimidating straight out of the tube but the bronze tint sheers out a lot and gives a good bronze tint to the face. I think you do definitely need foundation over the top though because it can look patchy.

Before and After: Wearing all the products in the kit. I'm wearing the bronze tint alone without foundation or powder and paired the look with some very poorly applied bronze eyeshadow I slapped on with my finger to take the selfie :P
I can't say enough good things about this kit and it would make an awesome gift especially with Summer coming up soon! The products are all quality in my opinion, except maybe the bag. It's not bad but it just doesn't see all that special to me. It's not padded and the zipper is very plain so it sort of cheapens it. It's not a big deal but little details can make a huge difference!

EOTD - SULTRY CREAM AND PURPLE

I totally forgot to post this up the other day *facepalm*. You may have already seen it on my Instagram as I posted it for the Lipstick Republic Challenge.

When Leesha/xsparkage created this look ages ago, I was blown away by how pretty it was but as usual, couldn't do it for my eye shape.

I usually avoid contrasting light and dark shades because it just emphasises my lack of crease or flat eye area. The other day, I thought I would just try to make it work and I'm pretty proud of it if I do say so myself :) It's no where near close but I still love the look of it.

I did this surprisingly simple look using my favourite Chi Chi Sultry Palette and did a tutorial for it too if you would like to see how it's done. What do you think? x

SHUTUP AND TAKE MY MONEY - AWESOME NEW PERFUMES

I seen some new perfumes in Myer that are really testing my willpower. I love perfumes but I have more than I can ever finish so I'm trying not to buy more.

I really wish I hadn't seen these. They come in gorgeous bottles and even worse, they smell so sweet and fruity - right up my alley!

This first one is Very Wang Pink Princess. I already have Princess Night which comes in the black/purple glitter bottle and it's my favourite perfume. The bottle of Pink Princess is so reflective and eye catching, it definitely had me curious. It smells like raspberry, pink grapefruit and marshmallow...kill me now, just writing about it makes me want it more...I swear if this game in a bright purple or blue glitter bottle, I would have bought it regardless of the scent.

Killer Queen Katy Perry for women

This is Katy Perry's newest one called Killer Queen. I love this bottle so much more than the previous cat shaped bottles. My first impression seeing this bottle was that it reminded me of the elixir/potion from that old as movie 'Death Becomes Her' with Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. The potion means they can never die but also means they get wrinkly and brittle with age so they need constant maintenance - something like that...anyway, this perfume is also super sweet and awesome and I really want it.

I mainly get the scent of berries and bergamot when I sampled this and I heard it comes with the golden pedastool. If it does, that is damn cool!

I can see from a quick Google search, someone agrees with me

MAYBELLINE LASTING DRAMA PEN GEL EYELINER

Hi!

I've finally got around to doing this review! This is the Maybelline Lasting Drama Pen Gel Liner available in Asia. As far as I know, it isn't out in AUS but I first saw the Hyper Sharp eyeliner being sold in Thailand about a year before I saw it here being sold as Master Precise. I still think it's worth a review because it is such a cool product!

It's a gel eyeliner in a pen, say whaaat? Yeah you read right, gel eyeliner in a convenient portable pen you can keep in your makeup bag. No more chunky pots that dry out the product or having to carry an extra brush!

So when you first UNSCREW (it's not a click on lid, takes some getting used to) the lid, there's a little plastic plug that protects the eyeliner. There's a little knob at the other end you turn and wait patiently for the eyeliner to ooze out.

When I saw pictures for this, I thought it was going to be a hard plastic tip and be painful to apply. It's actually a very soft rubber tip that is comfortable to use and the flex makes it easier and smoother to apply.

It has a really nice tapered point so as long as you don't use too much product, you can easily achieve a very nice wing, the same way you would with an angled brush. I love this applicator tip! It's also easy to clean, just wipe it with some makeup remover on a tissue.

You do have to be careful about controlling the amount that comes out. You really only need a very tiny bit, the amount of eyeliner in this picture above, is enough to line both eyes but it will get messy. Best to do one eye at a time.

This is a true gel eyeliner. Gorgeous, smooth black application that wears all day. This is the hardest eyeliner to remove. If I cleanse my skin as usual in the shower, all my makeup will be gone but im left with massive black raccoon rings around my eyes. Cleanser and warm water will not remove this. A good quality makeup remover will take it clean off easily which is what makes me love it! I would reccomend Garnier Clean Sensitive (I should review that).

HOWEVER...it-still-smudges...*sigh* it's just me I think. Even this superglue of an eyeliner, still smudges and leaves really grose embarrasing black smudges in the inner corner of my eye. I still think it's the best eyeliner I've used, better than Essence Gel Liner but still not completely perfect. Here is a photo I had put on my Instagram from the day I compared the Maybelline Lasting Drama (left) vs. Essence Gel Eyeliner (right).

AUSTRALIS WISH LIST

Hi!

I'm on a complete Australis kick at the moment. It could have something to do with their Instagram giveaway, the fact that there are new fun products to explore and/or that the brand is currently 30% off at Priceline.

I've been sort of planning what I want to buy and compiled a "little" wishlist. Some of it is the new stuff, some of it has been around since the beginnings.

Some of the new things that have caught my attention - the CC cream (which I don't buy into the gimmick but it could still be a good face base product), the Go Camo Concealer which is meant to be some amazing coverage heavy duty concealer and the cream shadows which look a bit like double end lipglosses. I'm not usually interested in cream shadows but I hear these are really easy to blend and work with so I'll definitely want to play with the testers.

The rest is just stuff I've had my eye on for a long time, especially the Gold colour corrector. I remember testing it out when I first started looking at makeup back in year 11.

Has anyone tried any of these products? Are they worth purchasing or do you have any other reccomendations?

Also, has anyone seen the newer stuff like the CC cream in stores? I went looking around today and couldn't find them anywhere :(

HOT DOGS OR LEGS? LE TAN WASH OFF VS FLAWLESS LEGS INSTANT TANNERS

$

Friends don't let friends forget leg day.

Hi!

Today I am reviewing the new Le Tan Wash Off Instant Tanner! This was kindly provided for me by the lovely Vanessa Castro, shout out to you girl, loved the handwritten note!

$18 for 75g and $15 for 100g
This instant tanner claims to dry in 60 seconds, to be transfer proof and rain proof. I compared this to the Flawless legs, another Le Tan product I love and have been using for over a year. Still on my first can though, I rarely ever fake tan.

Left: Naked leg, Right: Flawless Legs

Left: Wash Off, Right: Flawless Legs

Both products applied evenly and gave a beautiful natural glow to make my legs look healthier and covered little scars and made them look really flawless.

I would say they are transfer resistant, not transfer proof but they are both rain proof! As in you could go swimming with these on and not have any problems. You can remove them easily thought with soap and warm water. If you would like to see a demo, you can check out my video of me applying it and testing it out in the shower:

Flawless legs gives a tad more coverage and Wash Off is a bit more transfer resistant. A tanning mit really helps to give a smooth even finish but I feel it sheers out the product and I don't get as much coverage as I would if I used my hands.

Love love love these products! Be sure to lay a dust cloth, towels or some newspapers because this mist can get messy if you're not prepared.

Do you fake tan or have any tips for fake tanning?

CHEAP MAKEUP!!! :)

Whether you're sitting in a cushy office at the top of a high rise or sweeping up toe clippings off a salon floor, let me tempt you into spending some of your hard earned money. There are a few really awesome deals going on for makeup at the moment.

1. ASOS: MASSIVELY DISCOUNTED RIMMEL

Sorry for the super crappy screenshots. If you follow me on instagram, you would have seen me post about this last night. Rimmel is already cheaper on ASOS but when it goes on sale...yeah ahah. You can pick up the True Match Perfection Foundation for just around $8 or the cream version which isn't available in store for around $9. Apocalips are $7.52 and there's a bunch of other awesome stuff too! Click on the image to follow the link!

2. PRICELINE: IN STORE/ONLINE CLEARANCE AUSTRALIS AND ESSENCE

There's a couple good deals on Maybelline and Rimmel. Australis is 30% off which is awesome but I'm mostly referring to some deals I've found online. I've just picked up some Australis blushes for $3.75, the Paparazzi Perfect ones are $4.50 and there's some Essence stuff for around $2. I picked up one of the foundations for $2.87, just out of curiosity haha. Click on the image to follow the link!

3 CHEMIST WAREHOUSE: 1/2 OFF MAYBELLINE, RIMMEL AND REVLON

My three favourite non-australian makeup brands. I squealed when I saw this catalogue. Ends Thursay 26th September. Revlon Colorstay foundations going for $17!!!! I didn't get any though, none of the shades match me :( I know right? One of the biggest shade ranges and none of them suit me.

BEST AND WORST OF NEUTROGENA

$

I've built up quite a collection of Neutrogena products, some of it bought myself, some of it kindly provided. I thought it would be worth sharing my thoughts on them.

I have combination skin. It is generally dry but gets oily when I wear makeup and I usually look for products that are oil free but not drying, hydrating but not greasy. Such a diva right?

I'll start of with some products I LOVE:
  1. Deep Clean Cream Cleanser: An awesome cleanser for all skin types, especially dry skin. It removes most of my makeup and leaves my skin feeling baby soft, not tight or dry.
  2. Alcohol Free Toner: Best toner I've ever used, I will rave about this for years to come. Not only does it remove any last traces of cleanser and makeup but the best thing about it? It reconditions my skin after cleansing to sooth it and restore some moisture. My skin feels so soft and refreshed and I can see it has improved since I incorporated it into my routine. So much love!
  3. Oil-Free Moisture Combination Skin: It claims that it is cliniclally proven to normalise combination skin by moistursing dry areas while controlling shine in oily areas. I can hardly believe it actually works! My skin feels more unified, sort of tight but hydrated? It's weird but I really love this stuff. It works great under makeup especially if you're wearing a matte foundation or longer wearing makeup. It hydrates your skin so makeup goes on without clinging to dry patches and controls oils so your makeup won't break down as fast. Bonus, there's no SPF so great for nights out when you know there will be photos!
  4. Makeup Remover Towelettes: Dissolves and removes makeup like a breeze. For heavy duty eye makeup, simply hold it down for a few seconds to let the formula do its magic and then wipe away.
  5. Rapid Clear Cleansing Wipes: Another awesome cleansing wipe. What I love more about these is they leave my skin feeling so much cleaner afterwards with no residue while still being soft and not stripped. I was surprised, I thought these would be harsh and burn my face but they are great!
  6. Norwegian Formula Hand Cream: This is a real amazing and unique product. It feels a bit like a face primer. in fact I'm tempted to try it but I doubt it's a good idea haha. It's as if it smooths out the fine lines in your hands and leaves them velvety soft and smooth. Best hand cream I've ever tried and a little goes a long way so it's very reasonably priced.

Now the products I dislike:
  1. Oil Free Pink Grapefruit Cleanser: Dries out my skin horribly
  2. Pink Grapefruit Fresh Foaming Scrub: Also dries out my skin
  3. Naturals Purifying Cleanser: It claims to be gentle but doesn't feel gentle at all. Feels the same as any other drying gel cleanser.
  4. Naturals Purifying Pore Scrub: Doesn't feel abrasive enough. Feels like a gel with a few gritty bits in it so it does absolutely nothing for my skin.
  5. Rapid Clear Spot Gel: Also useless and does nothing for my skin. Balls up if it dries and you're still trying to rub it in and feels strange when you rinse your face in the morning. Unless you know Salicylic acid works for you, give this a miss.
  6. Night Calming Makeup Remover Towelettes: These burn and sting my face, esepcially the eyes. They still work as good as the regular ones but are not pleasant to use. Definitely steer clear if you have sensitive skin!
Have you tried any Neutrogena products before?

Btw has anyone else had problems uploading images with white backgrounds? Everytime I do it, the white turns grey which explains the crap ass looking screenshots in my last post. I had to upload these collages to photobucket first like some kind of animal. So annoying!

Some products were purchased myself, some were provided for consideration.

You may have seen recently I posted on here and Instagram about some awesome makeup deals going around. I also went to IMATS, planned to buy nothing but ended up picking out a few things. The experience? mmm don't think I'll go again...

AUSTRALIS CC CREAM AND GO CAMO CONCEALER REVIEW

Hi!

Australis has some amazing new products for the month of October, some of you may have already seen them featured in a video from 'beautybybrittneyx'. I've been trying out the CC Cream and Go Camo Concealer :)

The CC cream claims to even out skintone, moisturise and provide a flawless matte finish.

The texture of this is similar to a liquid foundation but dries very quickly, like Revlon Colorstay so you have to work quick. I tried applying this with a duo fiber buffing brush but it wasn't blending into my skin, it just sat on top so then I tried using my fingers and it was easier to work with but the product would grab to any rough or dry skin I had on my face. Aside from that, the product did give good medium-full coverage.

I found the best way to apply it was actually with a damp sponge. It did sheer the product but it became so much nicer to work with and left a very natural 'skin-like' finish. Even though I applied it with a damp sponge, it still left a matte finish on my face without emphasising any dry skin.

Top L-Bottom Right: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 20, Australis Go Camo Concealer in Medium, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 220, Australis CC Cream in Natural.

Maybelline Fit Me in 220 matches me perfectly. It has strong yellow-green undertones compared to the CC Cream.
Comes in 3 shades, I have this in the shade Natural which is the medium shade and way too light for my skin. I think this shade would suit NC/NW 15-20 because it runs so light. It looks darker coming out of the tube than it does on the skin. It doesn't have strong yellow undertones like I assumed, it seems to have a peachy undertone so orange-pink. I don't know if 'peach undertones' is a real thing, I made it up but that is truly how I see the colour of the product.

This product would work best for girls with smooth oily skin. It does even out skin tone and leave a matte finish but I wouldn't say it's very moisturising and not completely flawless coverage. I don't think it would suit dry skin, it would just look patchy :(

As for the Go Camo concealer. This stuff claims to be a full coverage, long lasting, waterproof concealer with a matte finish. Unlike the CC Cream, I think this concealer fulfils all the claims it makes!

It is a thick pasty texture and has strong, opaque coverage. It can be hard to make this product look natural, especially if you can't find a shade that suits you. I have this in medium, which again is too light for me. Also, because it is so thick and has a matte finish, I wouldn't reccomend this for dry skin or use under the eyes as it could dry out that skin. It's happened to me before, you don't want it to happen to you, it is a pain in the bum! Oily skin girls with blemishes, birthmarks or scarring? Go for it!

I tested this product on the back of my hand with some water on a cotton pad. It actually held up quite well when I subjected it to the wrath of a soft fluffy cotton pad with a bit of water on it. I believe this concealer may actually be waterproof :)

I completely forgot to take pictures of this on the other day but if you would like to see how this looks on my face, I did film a demo video for you guys!

You can get either of these products on their website http://australiscosmetics.com.au/ or in store at Priceline, Kmart, Big W this October.

These were provided to me for review. Opinions are honest and my own.

SEPTEMBER 13 FAVOURITES

A'hoy hoy!

These are the products that have rocked my world in the wild month of September. Wild as in the weather was wild, don't you think?

1. Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion: I was surprised at how well this stuff works. You just smooth it over your skin in the shower (out of the water), I let it soak in for a few seconds and then you rinse it off to reveal soft and smooth skin. It feels a bit funny as you rinse it off, like there's a film over your skin but once you towel dry your body, it just feels as if you've applied a moisturiser. LOVE this :)

2. Schwarzkopf Dry Oil Mist: It's like argan oil in a can. The advantage is, the spray is so fine you won't get any oil clumps of hair sticking together. An amazing light hair treatment that won't weigh hair down which is a plus for me because I have such thin and flat hair.

3. Australis Stayput Foundation: Such as easy, effortless foundation. It's so easy to blend into the skin and great for days where I'm really pushed for time. It gives a flawless, natural and luminous finish in just seconds. The coverage is great, I don't need to bother with concealer. (It's $10 at Priceline at the moment, get it now!)

4. Australis High Lights: Is it a dupe for Benefit High Beam? I don't know, I've only tried it High Beam once. This is a beautiful highlighter. The pearly pink shimmer is so fine, you won't look sparkly or like you've just motor-boated a strippers boobs. Best highlighter I've ever tried, so good, I actually use it instead of letting it roll around in the back of my draw.

5. Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara: My new HG mascara! I love this so much. It gives great defined but still buildable and THICK volume :) It has unleashed the full potential of my eyelashes, which isn't much, but it's still an amazing mascara.

6. Rimmel Lasting Finish Blushes: Still my favourite blushes ever. Enough pigmentation to give me colour, not too much I overdo it. The shades Pink Rose and Live Pink are gorgeous. I reviewed these a while back.

I would 100% recommend these products to anyone and everyone! :)

ALSO, I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS AD FOR WILD TURKEY AMERICAN HONEY!

Hello :)

In my favourites post I mentioned the Australis High Lights Mineral Face Highlighter. I really love this product and how it looks on the face. A must have for radiant looking skin :)

A lot of girls still aren't quite sure how to use highlighters which is a shame because they make such a difference!

See how pretty that swatch is?

I usually just dot it across my cheekbones

Sometimes I put it down the bridge of my nose, cupids bow and above brow bone

Boom! Instant pretty

RIMMEL SCANADALEYES IN BAD GIRL BRONZE

Hi :)

Just a quick post about a product I've fallen head over heels for - Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks are essentially a better version of the NYX jumbo pencils, in my opinion. NYX has a better colour range but these Scandaleyes sticks do come in 9 gorgeous shades.

I have the shade Bad Girl Bronze which I picked up when they were on sale at ASOS. Having ussd it, I really wish I had bought all shades.

Bad Girl Bronze is a gorgeous medium warm brown with bronze shimmer through it.

It glides on so smoothly and you get a good few seconds to blend it out before it sets. It feels thinner and less tacky than the NYX pencils in my opinion. I wore it yesterday for my post about the Australis High Lights.
The best thing about it? It lasts! I wore this alone and it did not crease or fade all day. This crappy photo was taken last night after 11 hours of wear.

I wore it today as an eyeshadow base. This is how makeup looked after work and driving home in 30 degree heat with no air conditioning. Impressive?

It is the easiest way to get some colour on your lids that will last all day. A must have for any quick emergency makeup routine. There is an awesome selection of neutrals and brights, I gotta catch em' all!
